According to the documents, which were obtained by TMZ on Monday, Vasquez, who has never publicly acknowledged his homosexuality, asked Olmos “if he wanted oral sex.”

Olmos said that Vasquez followed him to the bathroom, knocked on the cabin toilet Olmos was using, and looked across the room in the barn door. Vasquez made eye contact with Olmos, and smiled “wanton” as he “started to rub his genitals over his pants.”

Olmos said that although he tried to resist the advances of Vasquez, Vasquez was able to unzip the pants Olmos and touched his “chest and stomach underneath his shirt.”

As Olmos tried to leave the bathroom, turned and “saw Vazquez standing in front of him with his pants down masturbating.”

Olmos reported the incident to his supervisor, Eric LaPointe, who was threatened with termination of Olmos and called it “crazy.” Olmos was terminated a few months later.

In addition to suing Vazquez, Olmos is taking Fox Entertainment and Fremantle Media to court for unfair dismissal.

Shortly after the incident, Vasquez, who had reached the final round of the reality show, withdrew from the competition, citing “family reasons”.

About 500 players participate under the auspices of the Argentine Football Association. Waving the rainbow flag, cheering players began six football fields in a public park in Buenos Aires, in December 2002 became the first city in Latin America to pass civil homosexual unions.

“This tournament is a way to advocate for our cause,” said the president of the Gay Community of Argentina (CHA), César Cigliutti. “It’sa great step forward in the fight for our claim.”

Unlike other tournaments, teams in this tournament do not represent countries, but cities.

The teams competing in Buenos Aires Sarmiento Sports Park are Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Amerika, Dogo (Argentina), Boston, America, DCFederales, hot Atlanta, New York Ramblers, Royal Canadians, Toronto Titans, Devils Dublin (Ireland ), Australia, Iceland, the Titans of London, Stonewall and Village Manchester (Great Britain).

The tournament, which will mark the first time in a Latin American city, is organized by the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA), in collaboration with the organization of the gay community in Argentina and the support of the AFA.

The championship game will be held Sept. 29 at the soccer field for Defensores de Belgrano, a local club that competes in the third tier of Argentine football.

Said Thomas Gomez, head of the IGLFA for Latin America: “It was time to bring football to the region’s gay.”

The choice of team positions in the list of the tournament was held on Sunday.

Many of the players from the United States and Europe were visiting South America for the first time and said they were excited about the competition in a country famous for its football fanaticism. Argentina is one of the powers of South American football, along with archrival Brazil.

“Just raise your status here in Argentina for being a football player,” said Christine Suter, one of two female referees. Players were also organizing meetings every night in clubs and a panel discussion on discrimination against gays and lesbians in sport.

“There is the controversy that gay people are supposed to be effeminate and not play sports, but we are here to embrace sports and show that you can be gay and be sporty at the same time,” said Matt Borkowski, 36 years old American playing for a team in Philadelphia.

Argentina has become a hot spot in the gay tourist circuit, with many tango clubs and halls for gay and what many call a general atmosphere of acceptance.

“Buenos Aires is a very gay-friendly,” said Claudio Andrili, undersecretary of sports in the city of Buenos Aires. “Football has a reputation as a macho sport closed, but in football there are a lot of people very open to diversity.”

The field of contestants vying for the 2008 crown does not yet include an Iranian candidate, although one early entry looked like a strong contender. That “very handsome” young man was a resident of Iran at the time, which may explain why he backed out without explanation.

Since the Iranian president’s remarks yesterday, Mr. Gay Iran’s story has circulated widely, Spradlin reports, to enlightening effect. Many people still don’t imagine gays and lesbians can look like anybody else, because they’ve never seen anyone who was openly gay and mainstream-looking. The mass media tend to show gays only when they’re dressed up in leather or drag, Spradlin said. Mr. Gay contestants, by contrast, are handsome “boy next door” types, often young professionals. “It’s all about presenting non-stereotypical gay men to confront prejudice in the straight press.”

Spradlin enjoyed hearing the sound of Columbia students laugh at Ahmadinejad’s absurd remark that Iran has no gays. He’s concerned, however, that other groups would see things very differently. “I think if (Ahmadinejad) had given that speech at some Baptist college in Kansas, most of the students would have just nodded their heads and said, ‘Yeah, he probably doesn’t have any gays in Iran,’” Spradlin said.

Thanks in part to Ahmadinejad’s comments at Columbia, it’s likely that more people will see many gay boys-next-door from around the country at the three-day U.S. Mr. Gay competition next month. The event takes place Oct. 27 in Los Angeles, and will be hosted by out gay comedian Alec Mapa.

Candidates from around the world will compete in the International Mr. Gay finals over the Jan. 19, 2008, weekend in Hollywood, CA. Some of those delegates will likely be Muslim, as they hail from such countries as Egypt, Morocco (pictured, bottom left), Nigeria and Syria (pictured, right), in addition to the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, India, Brazil, Russia, the Philippines and many other nations.

Two months after the Hawaii conference, ABC News visited Smedes in Seattle to see if she was able to become a lucid dreamer.

“I have had three dreams I would call lucid dreams,” she said, “and I’ve had a number of near successes.”

In one especially vivid lucid dream, Smedes found herself flying above the ocean.

“I thought, ‘How did you get here? You said you weren’t going to fly in your dreams.’ And I went, ‘Oh, just stop Steph, who cares? Be quiet. Just you’re here; be excited,’” she said. “And so I saw, first I saw, one dolphin. And then I saw a school of fish go by. And then I saw a whole pod of dolphins go by. And I got real excited, and I clapped my hands.”

Smedes said she hasn’t had nightmares again since the Hawaii trip.

But some dream psychologists say lucid dreaming should not be a substitute for dreaming freely.

“The note of caution I would inject is if you focus too much on controlling your dreams, you lose perhaps one of the most valuable aspects of dreams, which is what they’re telling you what you don’t know about yourself,” said Dr. Alan Siegel, author of “Dream Wisdom” and a clinical psychologist at the University of California Berkeley.

But people like Smedes say lucid dreaming has brought them amazing breakthroughs — claiming they are now the masters of own dreams, for wisdom or just for fun.

One way to do that is through lucid dreaming, in which you choose what happens in your dream. You can fly through the air, swim with dolphins, tame the monster in your nightmares, speak to a dead relative — anything you want to do, all the while aware that it’s a dream.

“Lucid dreaming is simply a dream in which you know you’re dreaming while it’s happening,” said Dr. Stephen Laberge, founder of the Lucidity Institute at Stanford University. “So you know, ‘This is a dream I’m having,’ and therefore, you can control, you can decide. You know it’s all in your mind, so nothing can hurt you. You’re free and you can experiment.”

Recently, people come to the big island of Hawaii for a two-week session with Laberge, who is widely considered to be the country’s pre-eminent authority on lucid dreaming.

Stephanie Smedes, an animal eye doctor, is here to learn how to have lucid dreams. One of her goals is to control her nightmares of being chased by an unknown figure, running from room to room.

Smedes hopes that lucid dreaming will “help me to be part of them and then switch them around so I’m not so frightened of them.”

At its most basic level, lucid dreaming involves recognizing that you’re dreaming while you’re dreaming.

“The key to lucid dreaming is [to] remember to do something in your dreams, to notice that it’s a dream,” Laberge said. “So before bed, you set your mind. Say, ‘Tonight, I’m going to be dreaming — and when I do, I want to remember to notice that I’m dreaming.’”

To train the mind to realize it’s in a dream, Laberge sometimes uses a device called “the nova dreamer.”

“It’s your sleep mask you wear while you’re asleep,” Laberge explained. “There are sensors on it that pick up the rapid eye movements, where your eyes move when you’re dreaming

Even more surprising, perhaps, is the implication of Mohler’s statement that science can help inform the response of Christians to moral questions – a rare admission among evangelicals. “The example of Al Mohler is certainly a starting point,” said President Richard J. Mouw of Fuller Theological Seminary non-denominational, in Pasadena, the largest evangelical seminary in North America. “Evangelicals, and I am one, have not always shown a very clear thinking about science and spirituality.”

In fact, evangelicals have for years been defined largely by its insistence that every word of the Bible is true – no matter how strongly science may suggest otherwise, according to Dr. Bruce Prescott, executive director of Mainstream Baptist Oklahoma and one of the sharpest critics Mohler. “I struggle with all the time Al Mohler is one of the main leaders of the fundamentalist takeover of the Southern Baptist Convention,” said Prescott. “But I think this could be the first chink in the armor of any of these leaders.” At least suggests that they are trying to reconcile science and writing …. The first step is to realize science has something to say. ”

In an interview with TIME, Mohler said that his statement about gay people does not change his opinion about the morality of homosexuality. “There has been among evangelicals a fear or a misunderstanding that if a scientific causation of homosexuality was discovered that somehow removes the moral responsibility to the people who make this election,” he said. “But that’s not true. The Bible says they are only responsible for the temptations to choose from. The fundamental sin of homosexuality would not change.”

The political philosopher Charles Taylor said Mohler’s comments demonstrate the ability to set aside strongly held notions in the face of scientific evidence – which he called refreshing. “Both science and religion can be very perverted by ideological beliefs. They need to be purified,” said Taylor, who on Wednesday won the $ 1. 5,000,000 Templeton Prize for a career spent on the grounds that fields such as history, politics and economics pays little attention to spirituality as a real force in the lives of people.

Taylor said the insistence of evangelicals in the literal truth of the Bible leads them to belittle science too often and at the same time give more fundamental truths expressed by the use of the Bible of the powerful myths and metaphors. “When we say that God the Father is not trying to say it’s like my dad,” Taylor says.

However, Mouw is concerned about other aspects of Mohler’s comments about homosexuality. If science proves that homosexuality is caused by genetic or biological reasons otherwise, Mohler wrote, it’s just a matter of time before science produces a treatment that will cure it. If so, he said, Christians have a duty to use it. Mouw says Mohler went too far in endorsing the concept of prenatal treatment of fetuses gay.

“Evangelicals have generally been very nervous if not openly opposed to any kind of genetic manipulation,” Mouw told TIME, “certainly against producing designer babies, where you have the option of the blue-eyed babies or green eyes. Why in the world now want to defend the guidance of design? ”

Mohler said he is opposed to genetic manipulation of all kinds. His idea, he said, was that if a hormonal therapy were developed for fetuses that would help them be born straight rather than gay, he would support its use, as he would support medical treatment to give sight to the blind fetus.

That is what has angered advocates of gay rights, and the shadow of Mohler granting homosexuals may be born that way. “What about Mohler’s argument is that it implies that there is something wrong with being gay,” said Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign. “I welcome the fact that they are beginning to recognize that homosexuality is a chosen lifestyle. But it’s hard for me to believe that someone who then came to the conclusion that the next step should be to get about the business of change around the world actually offer some sort of enlightened view.
